Frequently Asked Questions

  • The floral cloches I create are carefully dried flowers artistically arranged and secured on a wooden or metal base covered by a glass dome. Floral cloches have a nostalgic feel, and yet they are fabulous decor pieces that are a timeless and simple way to capture memories in the most beautiful way ever.

  • The skies the limit! In the South, so many of our gatherings, special occasions, and sentimental moments are dressed with flowers. And, we’re all about making memories. Flowers remind us of those cherished moments, so hold on to them. Whether it’s a bouquet from a first homecoming dance or a debutante ball, flowers from your baby or bridal shower, roses from a loved one’s celebration of life, a father of the bride’s boutonniere or mother of the bride’s posey, or that bouquet “just because,” they are all worthy of a bespoke floral cloche if they will make that feeling last.

  • Yes, you’ll have several options to choose from ranging in size, shape, base color and material. We’ll talk more about the specifics during our introductory call. I think you’ll like your options.

  • Bespoke floral cloches range in price from $100 to $400 depending on the size and style of the cloche chosen, the number of flowers included, and the time required for construction. For example, a typical bridal bouquet cloche including the majority of the flowers from the bouquet artistically styled in a large cloche (15” - 17”+ tall) typically costs between $300 and $400.

  • A few things to do if possible: keep your flowers in water throughout the event (they like their feet wet), keep them out of direct sunlight and heat, and keep the flowers cool (50 degrees F is ideal). It is best for Glorious to have your flowers in hand within 48 hours of the event.

A note to brides, I suggest purchasing a throw bouquet and not throwing your real bouquet to keep fragile blooms safe.

  • Things happen! It’s unlikely (and certainly not expected) that every flower will be in mint condition when I begin the process. I’ll deconstruct the florals and select the flowers that are in the best condition to preserve for your cloche. I’ll make every effort to use as many flowers as you request, but flowers that are wilted, browning or damaged will not dry well and cannot be used.

  • I truly think you’ll be surprised by the beauty and vibrancy of your special blooms preserved and captured in a floral cloche. The method I use for drying flowers is the best process I have found for retaining the color and shape of flowers. Your flowers will look very similar to how they looked when you handed them off to me. Certain varieties of flowers will naturally have a slight change of color as they are preserved - lighter colors get a bit lighter and darker colors may appear deeper in color. For example, red flowers often turn slightly burgundy. I’ve been so pleased with this preservation process for retaining the colors and shapes of the blooms. I think you will be too.

  • Yes, of course! If you have a necklace, ribbon, pin, etc. from your event that you would like me to include in your cloche, please let me know. Most of these items are easy to include and enhance the sentimentality. Let’s talk and see what we can make happen. I want the cloche to be as special to you as the memories it represents.

  • I thought you’d never ask. One of my favorite cloches is a collection of mushrooms my mom plucked from a neighbor’s yard that I preserved and styled with dried flower pods. It’s the perfect gift (or the perfect keep)! Sit it on a stack of coffee table books—it’s to die for.

I love creating custom cloches. As a floral designer, I often preserve flowers from events that I create fresh arrangements for, so I have a great collection of preserved flowers to choose from. Tell me what you’ve got in mind, and we’ll make it happen.

  • Every flower and environment is different; so I can’t make absolute promises. However, your flowers will be professionally preserved, secured, and protected beneath a glass cloche. With minimal handling and keeping the cloche out of direct sunlight, you can expect to enjoy the flowers for many, many years to come.
