Like many journeys, mine started years ago with a dreamy destination—the most glorious Barbie world ever imagined. My sister and I spent endless hours of our childhood outfitting our Barbies in stylish designs made from our mama’s fabric scraps. All we needed was a little imagination and inspiration.
Today, my inspiration may have changed from Barbies to flowers, but my destination remains the same—beauty by way of imagination.
Well, imagination and hard work. I received my BFA from UAB with an interest in three-dimensional work, including metalwork, sculpture and ceramics. As a freelance floral designer for the past nine years, I have been inspired by Birmingham’s artistic community. It’s been a gift to collaborate with the creators and small businesses that support Birmingham’s vibrant world of art. And now I get the joy of creating with you.

I attended a floral arrangement workshop led by Emmie and walked away with a gorgeous vase, beautiful arrangement, shears, and the knowledge to confidently create my own floral arrangements. Emmie shared useful tips and tricks and where to purchase florals and greenery from. It was a great way to be creative and connect with others. Highly recommend this activity for any event and would def do again!
